How to choose a
remote-controlled slope mower.
Work backward from your sites. Access, vegetation, transport and operating routine matter as much as cutting width.
1. Measure access before comparing decks
Check the narrowest gate, path and loading route. Cutting width and overall machine width are different measurements. Use the machine’s full dimensions and weight when planning transport, ramps and payload capacity.
2. Identify what needs cutting
The TracMow models presented here are rotary mulching mowers for grass and light brush. Describe the density, size and type of vegetation. These machines are not presented as substitutes for dedicated forestry mulching equipment.
3. Compare the four platforms
The 70EVO and electric ePOWER70 use 28-inch cutting decks. The 80EVO offers a 32-inch deck, and the 95EVO has a 38-inch deck. A smaller cutting platform can make sense for some access and transport needs; a wider cut may suit more open working areas. Confirm the full machine dimensions for your route.
4. Plan fuel or charging
For the electric model, consider charging access and the length of your working window. Runtime varies with use. For a gas-powered platform, include refueling and the required maintenance in your routine. Your operating schedule should inform the power-source decision.
5. Quote compatible attachments together
Attachment fit varies by model. Confirm the lift, mounting, electrical and antenna requirements as a complete package. Published materials differ on some combinations, so verify the current ordered configuration.
6. Give a demonstration a clear purpose
Use a demo to answer specific questions about access, controls, finish or workflow. Demonstrations are optional and arranged by location and scheduling. Distance can affect feasibility, especially in southern Florida.
7. Plan for support
Ask how the equipment will reach your location and how repair transport will work. ClearSlope handles warranty questions and repairs, with coverage governed by the manufacturer’s terms.
Always follow manufacturer operating instructions. Ground conditions, obstacles, bystanders and site-specific hazards must be assessed before operation.
